Looking for testers: a pocket toolbox for machining and CNC

Friends, we are preparing a native mobile app for the shop floor for Google Play. The goal is to gather daily calculations, tolerance tables and more in one fast offline tool — so you do not have to dig through online handbooks or compute cutting modes on a pocket calculator.

The app is in final testing, and we need feedback from people who work at machines every day or prepare drawings and process sheets.

What is already inside

Shop-floor calculators

  • Cutting modes and metal stock mass: quick blank weight (round, tube, sheet, hex and more).
  • Angles: convenient unit conversion (degrees, minutes, seconds / DMS).
  • Tolerances handbook: limit deviations by IT grades.
  • Surface roughness.
  • Thread handbook.

Utilities and Micro CAM

  • Micro CAM: quick roughing and finishing G-code for typical turning and milling ops from your phone.
  • Transition geometry: chamfers, radius and mill chamfer blending.
  • Material norming: bar length and cut-off losses.

Process journal

  • Operator/master work diary for parts in progress.
  • Measurement protocol for quick dimensional checks.

How to take part in testing

Pick whichever option works for you.

Option 1. Try it now (APK)

Download the install file and try the utilities on your real shop tasks.

Download demo APK (v0.9.0)

To install, allow “Install unknown apps” in your device security settings.

Option 2. Closed testing on Google Play

Under current Google Play rules, publishing an app requires users to install it from the official store and keep it installed for 14 days.

If you use Android and want to help the project appear on Google Play, leave your Google email — we will send an official tester invite. You can also join the testers Google Group: cnc-mate-testers@googlegroups.com.

Use the Google account you use with Play Store.

What we most want to hear

  • Do the calculations match your practical experience?
  • Which typical formulas, reference tables or “pocket” tools do you miss the most?
